About
“It is never too late to be what you might have been." ~ George Eliot
Ever since I can remember, I have loved to create.
I was born in Maine, but soon began traveling the world following my parents' work. I spent my childhood observing the world around me, often saving images in my mind and transferring these to paper - always looking, always creating.
As I matured into a young adult, this passion for looking and creating remained, and it led me to Syracuse University where I earned my BFA with honors as a Fine Art/Illustration major, with concentration in figure drawing and anatomy. I soon established a career in the commercial art field. After marrying and having 3 children, I turned to freelancing in New York City and Philadelphia as well as becoming an adjunct professor at Philadelphia University (now known as Jefferson University), freelance illustration, public and private commissions, art shows, workshops and lecturing.
Upon earning my Teaching Certification, my career expanded to include private art education for young children through adults, individual and group instruction.
After moving to Southern Coastal Delaware many years ago, I am currently painting and teaching full time; finding great joy in passing on my love of art to others.
